because it is written in the Scriptures: "‘As surely as I live,' says the Lord, ‘Everyone will bow before me; everyone will say that I am God.'" Isaiah 45:23

If you hurt your brother's or sister's faith because of something you eat, you are not really following the way of love. Do not destroy someone's faith by eating food he thinks is wrong, because Christ died for him.

But those who eat something without being sure it is right are wrong because they did not believe it was right. Anything that is done without believing it is right is a sin.

And Isaiah says, "A new king will come from the family of Jesse. He will come to rule over the non-Jewish people, and they will have hope because of him." Isaiah 11:10

But I have written to you very openly about some things I wanted you to remember. I did this because God gave me this special gift:

I will not talk about anything except what Christ has done through me in leading those who are not Jews to obey God. They have obeyed God because of what I have said and done,

because of the power of miracles and the great things they saw, and because of the power of the Holy Spirit. I preached the Good News from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, and so I have finished that part of my work.

I always want to preach the Good News in places where people have never heard of Christ, because I do not want to build on the work someone else has already started.

Brothers and sisters, I beg you to help me in my work by praying to God for me. Do this because of our Lord Jesus and the love that the Holy Spirit gives us.

I ask you to accept her in the Lord in the way God's people should. Help her with anything she needs, because she has helped me and many other people also.

All the believers have heard that you obey, so I am very happy because of you. But I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.

From Paul. God called me to be an apostle of Christ Jesus because that is what God wanted. Also from Sosthenes, our brother in Christ.

I always thank my God for you because of the grace God has given you in Christ Jesus.

I thank God because in Christ you have been made rich in every way, in all your speaking and in all your knowledge.

Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God. In Christ we are put right with God, and have been made holy, and have been set free from sin.

A person who does not have the Spirit does not accept the truths that come from the Spirit of God. That person thinks they are foolish and cannot understand them, because they can only be judged to be true by the Spirit.

The teaching I gave you was like milk, not solid food, because you were not able to take solid food. And even now you are not ready.

You are still not spiritual, because there is jealousy and quarreling among you, and this shows that you are not spiritual. You are acting like people of the world.

their work will be clearly seen, because the Day of Judgment will make it visible. That Day will appear with fire, and the fire will test everyone's work to show what sort of work it was.

If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person, because God's temple is holy and you are that temple.
