Notwithstanding, Yahweh did not turn from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him.

But David could not go before it to inquire of God; for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of Yahweh.
