All the old Code of the Law, or the old trail, was abandoned because it couldn't save people's souls.

Because of this promise, Jesus is the one who guarantees to lead us straight to God.

Because of this, Jesus is the only one who can save us by leading us straight to God. Jesus lives forever in order to show us the trail that leads to God. Not only does he lead us to God, but he vouches for us when we get there.

Unlike the old trail, sacrifices are no longer needed every day. The sacrifices on the old trail were for the trail bosses' sin first, and the followers second. But Jesus didn't need to offer a sacrifice for his sin because there was none. However, he did offer himself as the sacrifice for us because we are sinful.

Because of Christ's sacrifice, he pulled the new agreement out of his saddle bags and gives it freely to anyone who wants it, even those who were under the first agreement.

He didn't have to because the sacrifice he made once was perfect and will last all time.

Let's look at this. First, Christ said, "You didn't want more animal sacrifices or more sin offerings. You didn't want a burnt offering or any other kind because they couldn't get the job done." They were still required by the code of Moses, but that was just to hold down the fort until Jesus could come in and save the day.

So, here's the deal now, we can walk right into the throne room of God because of what Jesus did for us.

we can walk right in because we ride for him. We no longer feel guilty or ashamed because we have been washed clean by the blood of Christ.

It was because Enoch had a heapin' of faith that he was taken up to heaven without dying. Before he left, he had a reputation as being someone God admired.

You can't please the Boss without a heapin' of faith, because in order to knock on his door you must believe that he's there and he surely gives favors to those who know where to look and who to ask.

It was because of a heapin' of faith that in Jake's last days, he blessed each of his grandsons while worshiping God and leaning on his sortin' stick.

Cowboys who were thought dead even rode back to the gals who were waiting on them. But not everyone fared so well. Some were killed because they wouldn't turn their backs on God. They could have lived, but they chose to receive the reward that's waiting in the next life instead of the continued pain of this one.

Later, he wanted his dad to bless him, but he was rejected because of that one stupid choice. Not even the bitter tears could take back what he'd willfully done.

Don't have a hankerin' for money. Be glad about what ya got, because the Big Boss has said, "I ain't never gonna leave ya, nor forsake ya."

Because of all this, we should offer a sacrifice of continuing thankfulness to God. We should steel ourselves to ride for him every single day.

Listen up cowboys, don't sweat it when you go through the rough and rank patches of life. Shoot, you ought to be glad you go through them because it's these things that'll sure enough make a man out of ya. These times will knock the quit right out of ya and your

faith will be ever the stronger because of what ya went through.

But them rich folks better have a humble air about 'em because they ain't no different in the grand scheme of things than any other blade of grass by the pond.

We all go the bad way, not because of anything God does or doesn't do, but just because we have a natural desire for the wrong ways.
