Watch, then, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming—it might be in the evening or at midnight or before dawn or at sunrise.

They were all amazed at the way he taught, because he spoke with authority.

But he said to them, "I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns also, because that is what God sent me to do."

Because of the crowd, however, they could find no way to take him in. So they carried him up on the roof, made an opening in the tiles, and let him down on his bed into the middle of the group in front of Jesus.

Nor do you pour new wine into used wineskins, because the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will pour out, and the skins will be ruined.

"Happy are you when people hate you, reject you, insult you, and say that you are evil, all because of the Son of Man!

Be glad when that happens and dance for joy, because a great reward is kept for you in heaven. For their ancestors did the very same things to the prophets.
