And all these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, until you are destroyed; because you didn't harken to the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:

Because you didn't serve Yahweh your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;

so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons whom he shall eat, because he has nothing left for himself, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your gates.

And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you did not listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.

Then men shall say, Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, Haven't these evils come on us because our God is not among us?

For I know that after my death you will completely corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

And Yahweh saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.

because you trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify me in the midst of the sons of Israel.

And as soon as we had heard it, our hearts melted, neither did there remain anymore spirit in any man, because of you: for Yahweh your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

then you shall say to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh; when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.

And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, that were beyond the Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, that were by the sea, heard how that Yahweh had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the sons of Israel, until we had passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them anymore, because of the sons of Israel.

For the sons of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, even the men of war that came forth out of Egypt, was consumed, because they didn't listen to the voice of Yahweh: to whom Yahweh swore that he would not let them see the land which Yahweh swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

And their sons, whom he raised up in their stead, Joshua circumcised them: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.

Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the sons of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

And the city shall be devoted, even it and all that is therein, to Yahweh: only Rahab the prostitute shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

But Rahab the prostitute, and her father's household, and all that she had, Joshua saved alive; and she dwelt in the midst of Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers, whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Therefore the sons of Israel can't stand before their enemies; they turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become accursed: I will not be with you anymore, except you destroy the devoted thing from among you.

And it shall be, that he that is taken with the devoted thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he has; because he has transgressed the covenant of Yahweh, and because he has wrought folly in Israel.
