From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength Because of Your adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.

"Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise," says the Lord ; "I will set him in the safety for which he longs."

I will sing to the Lord , Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Then the earth shook and quaked; And the foundations of the mountains were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.

He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.

"Commit yourself to the Lord ; let Him deliver him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him."

Teach me Your way, O Lord , And lead me in a level path Because of my foes.

Because they do not regard the works of the Lord Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not build them up.

Blessed be the Lord , Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.

I will rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness, Because You have seen my affliction; You have known the troubles of my soul,

For my life is spent with sorrow And my years with sighing; My strength has failed because of my iniquity, And my body has wasted away.

Because of all my adversaries, I have become a reproach, Especially to my neighbors, And an object of dread to my acquaintances; Those who see me in the street flee from me.

For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name.

A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.

The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your indignation; There is no health in my bones because of my sin.

My wounds grow foul and fester Because of my folly.
