And Leah said, "God has endowed me with a good endowment; now my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons." So she called his name Zebulun. [fn]

And now you have surely gone because you greatly long for your father's house, but why did you steal my gods?"

Then Jacob answered and said to Laban, "Because I was afraid, for I said, "Perhaps you would take your daughters from me by force.'

For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together, and the land where they were strangers could not support them because of their livestock.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors.

When Judah saw her, he thought she was a harlot, because she had covered her face.

So Judah acknowledged them and said, "She has been more righteous than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son." And he never knew her again.

There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

23 The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, [fn] because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.

So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe.
