and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to the ones loving Him.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror;

You desire and do not have. You murder, and are jealous, and are not able to obtain. You fight and you war, and you do not have, because you do not ask.

You ask, and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, in order that you may spend on your lusts.

But He gives greater grace. Because of this it says, "God sets Himself against proud ones , but He gives grace to humble ones ." Prov. 3:34

You also be long-suffering. Set your hearts firmly, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

Because of this, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

because it has been written, "Be holy," "because I am holy." Lev. 19:2

indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times because of you,

Because "all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of grass; the grass was dried, and its flower fell out,

Because of this, it is also contained in the Scripture: "Behold," I lay in Zion" an elect, "precious Stone," "a Corner-foundation;" "and the one believing in Him shall not be ashamed, never!" Isa. 28:16

Then be in obedience to every creation of men because of the Lord; whether to a king, as being supreme;

because so is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

For this is a grace, if because of conscience toward God anyone bears grief, suffering unjustly.

because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against any doing evil things." LXX-Psa. 33:13-17; MT-Psa. 34:12-16

But if you truly suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you . "But do not fear their fear, nor be disturbed.

Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;

Therefore, Christ having suffered for us in the flesh, also you arm yourselves with the same thought, because he having suffered in the flesh has been made to rest from sin,

and above all things having fervent love to yourselves, "because love will cover a multitude of sins." Prov. 10:12
