But they, threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.

Him Paul would have to go along with him: and taking him, he circumcised him, because of the Jews who were in those places. For they all knew that his father was a Gentile.

And when he was come to the stairs, it fell out that he was carried by the soldiers, because of the violence of the people.

Immediately therefore they departed from him that were about to torture him. The tribune also was afraid after he understood that he was a Roman citizen and because he had bound him.

And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.

And when much time was spent and when sailing now was dangerous, because the fast was now past, Paul comforted them,

For kindling a fire, they refreshed us all, because of the present rain and of the cold.

For this cause therefore I desired to see you and to speak to you. Because that for the hope of Israel, I am bound with this chain.
