Jesus answered, "Do you think they were allowed to die because their sin was greater than someone else's?

What about all those people who tragically died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Was it because of their sin that they died?

The boy was so hungry that even the pig's food looked appetizing because he was starving to death.

"His dad looked at him kindly and said, 'Son, listen to me. I didn't give you any of that because they were already yours. You didn't have to ask me. Everything I have is yours.

He wanted to see the man that everyone was talking about, but he couldn't see over the throng of people because he was a short fellow.

Everyone was listening to everything Jesus was saying. He told them a story because everyone was thinking that God's outfit was coming very soon.

I didn't want to make you mad because you take credit for what you didn't do and ride horses that you didn't start.'

"'Because I reward those who do something with a little. But to those who do nothing with a little, everything will be taken from them.

They will muck you out like a mad mama cow and do the same to your kids. They won't leave one stone standing on top of another because you were too blind to see when God stood among you."

They argued and fought, but they couldn't come up with anything because everyone loved him so much and listened to everything Jesus said.

But if we say he came up with it on his own, everyone will get mad because they all believe John was sent from the Boss."

Now the religious leaders and preachers wanted Jesus arrested immediately because they knew he was comparing them to the sorry cowboys who killed the rancher's son. They knew what Jesus was saying, but they were afraid of the crowds who seemed to love him.

"But before any of this happens, there will be a great persecution of those who ride for God. His cowboys will be sent to prisons and punished in the churches. They will stand trial before national leaders just because they ride for me.

Everyone will hate you because you ride for my brand.

Then Jesus said to the preachers, church marshals, and religious leaders, "Have you come to arrest an outlaw? Did you bring your swords and clubs because I am dangerous?

I taught right beside you in the church courtyard, and you did nothing. I know why, though. This is your time and place because your hearts are as dark as night."
