וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ

to the ground

I have found

in your sight

bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā,

בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ

your servant

let be fetched

and rest yourselves

wə·hiš·šā·‘ă·nū

וְהִֽשָּׁעֲנ֖וּ

And I will fetch

you shall pass on

ta·‘ă·ḇō·rū,

are you come

your servant

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

you have said

דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃

into the tent

hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh

Make ready quickly

and gave [it]

and he hurried

and the young

he had prepared

and set [it]

lip̄·nê·hem;

and they did eat

way·yō·ḵê·lū.

וַיֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

I will return

at this time

shall have a son

wə·’aḇ·rā·hām

וְאַבְרָהָ֤ם

well stricken

it had ceased

after the manner

כַּנָּשִֽׁים׃

בְּקִרְבָּ֣הּ

I have become old

shall I have

this pleasure

Shall I indeed

זָקַֽנְתִּי׃

too exceptional

hă·yip·pā·lê

for the LORD

At the appointed time

lam·mō·w·‘êḏ

I will return

according to the time

shall have a son

wat·tə·ḵa·ḥêš

וַתְּכַחֵ֨שׁ

she was afraid

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ׀

you did laugh

way·yā·qu·mū

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים

way·yaš·qi·p̄ū

וַיַּשְׁקִ֖פוּ

wə·’aḇ·rā·hām,

וְאַ֨בְרָהָ֔ם

to send them

lə·šal·lə·ḥām.

לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃

הַֽמְכַסֶּ֤ה

from Abraham

mê·’aḇ·rā·hām,

מֵֽאַבְרָהָ֔ם

that thing which

wə·’aḇ·rā·hām,

וְאַ֨בְרָהָ֔ם

and shall be blessed

wə·niḇ·rə·ḵū

וְנִ֨בְרְכוּ

of the earth

יְדַעְתִּ֗יו

and they shall keep

וְשָֽׁמְרוּ֙

and judgment

וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט

to the end that

he has spoken

against Sodom

and Gomorrah

wa·‘ă·mō·rāh

and their sin

wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām,

וְחַ֨טָּאתָ֔ם

I will go down

according to the cry

hak·kə·ṣa·‘ă·qā·ṯāh

הַכְּצַעֲקָתָ֛הּ

which has come

whether they have done

altogether [as bad]

and turned their faces

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים

way·yê·lə·ḵū

toward Sodom

wə·’aḇ·rā·hām,

וְאַ֨בְרָהָ֔ם

And drew near

will you also

the righteous

will you also

lam·mā·qō·wm,

to the end that

haṣ·ṣad·dî·qim

הַצַּדִּיקִ֖ם

בְּקִרְבָּֽהּ׃

from you to do

the righteous

and should be

that the righteous

as the wicked

then I will spare

וְנָשָׂ֥אתִי

ham·mā·qō·wm

on their account

ba·‘ă·ḇū·rām.

בַּעֲבוּרָֽם׃

And answered

I have taken on

הוֹאַ֙לְתִּי֙

there shall lack

of the fifty

haṣ·ṣad·dî·qim

הַצַּדִּיקִם֙

will you destroy

הֲתַשְׁחִ֥ית

ba·ḥă·miš·šāh

בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֖ה

I will destroy

אַרְבָּעִ֖ים

wa·ḥă·miš·šāh.

וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

yim·mā·ṣə·’ūn

יִמָּצְא֥וּן

there shall be

אַרְבָּעִ֑ים

I will do [it]

of the forty

hā·’ar·bā·‘îm.

הָאַרְבָּעִֽים׃

let be angry

and I will speak

wa·’ă·ḏab·bê·rāh,

וַאֲדַבֵּ֔רָה

yim·mā·ṣə·’ūn

יִמָּצְא֥וּן

will I do it

שְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃

I have taken on

הוֹאַ֙לְתִּי֙

yim·mā·ṣə·’ūn

יִמָּצְא֥וּן

there shall be

I will destroy it

of the twenty

הָֽעֶשְׂרִֽים׃

let be angry

and I will speak

wa·’ă·ḏab·bə·rāh

וַאֲדַבְּרָ֣ה

shall be found

yim·mā·ṣə·’ūn

יִמָּצְא֥וּן

I will destroy it

hā·‘ă·śā·rāh.

הָעֲשָׂרָֽה׃

And went his way

He had finished

wə·’aḇ·rā·hām

וְאַבְרָהָ֖ם

to his place
