that Absalom

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

for himself a chariot

wa·ḥă·miš·šîm

וַחֲמִשִּׁ֥ים

וְהִשְׁכִּים֙

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

for judgment

lam·miš·pāṭ,

לַמִּשְׁפָּ֗ט

אַבְשָׁל֤וֹם

[are] And he said

of the tribes

your servant

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

your matters [are]

ū·nə·ḵō·ḥîm;

[deputed] man of the king

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

וּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט

and I would do him justice

wə·hiṣ·daq·tîw.

וְהִצְדַּקְתִּֽיו׃

[so] that when any man

to prostrate

lə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wōṯ

לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֖ת

and he put forth

wə·he·ḥĕ·zîq

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm

אַבְשָׁל֜וֹם

for judgment

לַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And it came to pass

אַרְבָּעִ֣ים

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm

אַבְשָׁלוֹם֙

wa·’ă·šal·lêm

וַאֲשַׁלֵּ֛ם

I have vowed

bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn.

בְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃

For your servant

while I stayed

בְּשִׁבְתִּ֥י

shall bring me again

יְשִׁיבֵ֤נִי

indeed to Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

then I will serve

wə·‘ā·ḇaḏ·tî

וְעָבַדְתִּ֖י

bə·šā·lō·wm;

ḥeḇ·rō·w·nāh.

חֶבְרֽוֹנָה׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm

אַבְשָׁלוֹם֙

mə·rag·gə·lîm,

מְרַגְּלִ֔ים

throughout all

As soon as you hear

kə·šā·mə·‘ă·ḵem

כְּשָׁמְעֲכֶם֙

of the trumpet

haš·šō·p̄ār,

then you shall say

wa·’ă·mar·tem

וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm

אַבְשָׁל֖וֹם

bə·ḥeḇ·rō·wn.

בְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֗וֹם

from Jerusalem

mî·rū·šā·lim,

מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

your brothers

And answered

in the sight

and he will bring me again

we·hĕ·ši·ḇa·nî

וֶהֱשִׁבַ֕נִי

וְהִרְאַ֥נִי

וּלְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר

הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃

[son] and Jonathan

wî·hō·w·nā·ṯān

וִיהוֹנָתָ֖ן

Abiathar them

lə·’eḇ·yā·ṯār;

לְאֶבְיָתָ֑ר

you shall send

ū·šə·laḥ·tem

וּשְׁלַחְתֶּ֤ם

[son] and by

תִּשְׁמָֽעוּ׃

into the city

wə·’aḇ·šā·lōm,

וְאַבְשָׁלֹ֔ם

into Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
