וַיִּקָּרֵא֙

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

הַגְּדוֹלָ֜ה

תִּתְיַצֵּ֥ב

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

and thrust them

וַיִּתְקָעֵם֙

through the heart

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם

he yet alive

in the midst

And compassed about

way·yā·sōb·bū

וַיָּסֹ֙בּוּ֙

אַבְשָׁל֖וֹם

way·mî·ṯu·hū.

וַיְמִיתֻֽהוּ׃

and returned

from pursuing

And they took

’aḇ·šā·lō·wm,

אַבְשָׁל֗וֹם

way·yaš·lî·ḵū

וַיַּשְׁלִ֨יכוּ

in the forest him

hag·gā·ḏō·wl,

way·yaṣ·ṣi·ḇū

וַיַּצִּ֧בוּ

[lə·’ō·hê·lōw

(לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃

wə·’aḇ·šā·lōm

וְאַבְשָׁלֹ֣ם

way·yaṣ·ṣeḇ-

in his lifetime

for himself a pillar

[is] of in the king

in remembrance

to keep my name

and he called

lam·maṣ·ṣe·ḇeṯ

לַמַּצֶּ֙בֶת֙

his own name

and it is called

way·yiq·qā·rê

וַיִּקָּ֤רֵא

wa·’ă·ḥî·ma·‘aṣ

וַאֲחִימַ֤עַץ

wa·’ă·ḇaś·śə·rāh

וַאֲבַשְּׂרָ֖ה

the LORD him

from the hand him

of his enemies

but you shall bear news

ū·ḇiś·śar·tā

וּבִשַּׂרְתָּ֖

wə·hay·yō·wm

to the Cushite

you have seen

way·yiš·ta·ḥū

וַיִּשְׁתַּ֧חוּ

But howsoever

אֲחִימַ֙עַץ֙

before the king

with his face

to the earth

Blessed [are]

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

has delivered up

hā·’ă·nā·šîm,

הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים

against my lord

with the young

lə·’aḇ·šā·lō·wm;

לְאַבְשָׁל֑וֹם

And answered

’ă·ḥî·ma·‘aṣ

hag·gā·ḏō·wl

[me] and your servant

[unto him] Turn aside

And he turned aside

and stood still

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ.

וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃

יִתְבַּשֵּׂר֙

šə·p̄ā·ṭə·ḵā

for the LORD you

from the hand

those who rose up

with the young

lə·’aḇ·šā·lō·wm;

לְאַבְשָׁל֑וֹם

And answered

[that] as young man

[thee] you to do hurt

And was much moved

וַיִּרְגַּ֣ז

over the gate

as he walked

בְּלֶכְתּ֗וֹ
