so that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.

Circumcise yourselves to Yahweh, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; or else my wrath will go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

For the mountains I will lift: a weeping and a wailing; and for the pastures of the wilderness: a lamentation; because they are burned up, so that none passes through; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled, they are gone.

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and [who is] he to whom the mouth of Yahweh has spoken, that he may declare it? why has the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that none passes through?

and you have done evil more than your fathers; for, look, you walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don't listen to me:

O house of David, thus says Yahweh, Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, or else my wrath will go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evil-doers, so that none returns from his wickedness: they are all of them to me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Yahweh. Don't I fill heaven and earth? says Yahweh.

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Yahweh of hosts is his name:

Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;

then I will also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my slave, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.

But if you say, We will not dwell in this land; so that you do not obey the voice of Yahweh your God,

so that none of the remnant of Judah, that have gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or be left, to return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return save such as shall escape.

so that Yahweh could not longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the disgusting things that you have done; therefore your land has become a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.

In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was intense in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.

They wander as blind men in the streets, they are polluted with blood, So that men can't touch their garments.

They hunt our steps, so that we can't go in our streets: Our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end has come.

So I will break down the wall that you have daubed with untempered [mortar], and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered; and it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and you shall know that I am Yahweh.
