Some will come who will say they are Christ. False preachers will come. These people will do special things for people to see. They will do surprising things, so that if it can be, God's people will be led to believe something wrong.

It was now two days before the supper of the special religious gathering to remember how the Jews left Egypt and the supper of bread without yeast. The religious leaders and the teachers of the Law tried to trap Jesus. They tried to take Him so they could put Him to death.

He said to them, "My soul is very sad. My soul is so full of sorrow I am ready to die. You stay here and watch."

He said, "Father, You can do all things. Take away what must happen to Me. Even so, not what I want, but what You want."

Watch and pray so that you will not be tempted. Man's spirit wants to do this, but the body does not have the power to do it."

The religious leaders and all the court were looking for something against Jesus. They wanted to find something so they could kill Him. But they could find nothing.

Pilate was surprised and wondered if Jesus was dead so soon. He called the captain of the soldiers and asked if Jesus was already dead.

The people outside were waiting. They were surprised and wondered why Zacharias stayed so long in the house of God.

So all the people went to their own cities to have their names written in the books of the nation.

Her husband had died and she had lived without a husband eighty-four years. Yet she did not go away from the house of God. She served God day and night, praying and going without food so she could pray better.

Jesus went back to Galilee in the power of the Holy Spirit. People talked about Him so much that He was well-known through all the country.

When they had done this, they caught so many fish, their net started to break.

They called to their friends working in the other boat to come and help them. They came and both boats were so full of fish they began to sink.

But they could not find a way to take him in because of so many people. They made a hole in the roof over where Jesus stood. Then they let the bed with the sick man on it down before Jesus.

"So that you may know the Son of Man has the right and the power on earth to forgive sins," He said to the man who could not move his body, "I say to you, get up. Take your bed and go to your home."
