not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as you see the day drawing near.

partly, being made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, becoming partakers with those that were so used.

By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which appear.

therefore also there sprang of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand, which is by the sea-shore, innumerable.

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

and so fearful was the appearance, [that] Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:

So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear: What shall man do to me?

For the sun rises with the scorching wind, and withers the grass: and the flower thereof falls, and the grace of the fashion of it perishes: so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings.

But he that looks into the perfect law, the [law] of liberty, and [so] continues, not being a hearer that forgets but a doer that works, this man shall be blessed in his doing.

So speak, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.

Even so faith, if it doesn't have works, is dead in itself.

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

Look, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, where the impulse of the steersman wills.

So the tongue also is a little member, and boasts great things. Look, how much wood is kindled by how small a fire!

out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

You lust and don't have; so you kill. And you covet and cannot obtain; so you fight and war. You don't have, because you don't ask.

who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.

For so is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that you suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.

She that is in Babylon, elect together with [you], salutes you; and [so does] Mark my son.
