And because of this He is Mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having occurred for redemption of transgressions under the first covenant, those being called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.

so Christ having been once offered "to bear the sins of many," Christ shall appear a second time without sin to those expecting Him for salvation. Isa. 53:12

not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves, as is the custom of some, but exhorting, and by so much more as you see the Day drawing near.

indeed being exposed both to reproaches and to afflictions; and having become partners of those so living.

By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by the Word of God, so that the things seen should not come into being out of things that appear.

By faith "Enoch" was translated so as not to see death, and "was not found, because God translated him." For before his translation, he had obtained witness to have been pleasing to God. Gen. 5:24

So therefore we also, having so great a cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race set before us,

And so fearful was the thing appearing, Moses said, "I am terrified and trembling." Deut. 9:19

Now the words "Yet once" make clear the removal of the things being shaken, as having been made, so that the things not being shaken may remain.

So that we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?" LXX-Psa. 117:6; MT-Psa. 118:6

So let us go forth to Him outside the camp bearing His reproach.

For the sun rose with the hot wind and dried up the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also the rich one will fade away in his ways. Isa. 40:6, 7

So that, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

So speak and so do as being about to be judged through a Law of freedom.

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

For as the body is dead apart from the spirit, so also faith is dead apart from works.

Behold, the ships also, being so great, and being driven by violent winds, they are directed by a very small rudder, where the impulse of the one steering purposes.

So also the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how little a fire kindles how large a forest!

And the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body, and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by Hell.

Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not fitting for these things to be so.
