So now what have I here"— this is the Lord 's declaration— "that My people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail"— this is the Lord 's declaration— "and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.

Just as many were appalled at You— His appearance was so disfigured that He did not look like a man, and His form did not resemble a human being—

so He will sprinkle many nations. Kings will shut their mouths because of Him, For they will see what had not been told them, and they will understand what they had not heard.

"For this is like the days of Noah to Me: when I swore that the waters of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

so you will summon a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you will run to you. For the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you."

Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord , so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive.

"For as heaven is higher than earth, so My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do."

Who was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied and didn't remember Me or take it to heart? Have I not kept silent for such a long time and you do not fear Me?

Because of his sinful greed I was angry, so I struck him; I was angry and hid; but he went on turning back to the desires of his heart.

But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen.

He saw that there was no man— He was amazed that there was no one interceding; so His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness supported Him.

So He will repay according to their deeds: fury to His enemies, retribution to His foes, and He will repay the coastlands.

Your gates will always be open; they will never be shut day or night so that the wealth of the nations may be brought into you, with their kings being led in procession.

Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever; they are the branch I planted, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.

For as the earth produces its growth, and as a garden enables what is sown to spring up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a groom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

I looked, but there was no one to help, and I was amazed that no one assisted; so My arm accomplished victory for Me, and My wrath assisted Me.

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit. So He became their enemy and fought against them.
