"I have said these things to you so that you will not fall away.

But I have said these things to you so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you about them. "And I have not said these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.

So some of his disciples said to one another, "What is this that he is saying to us, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me,' and ‘Because I am going away to the Father'?"

So they kept on saying, "What is this that he is saying, ‘A little while'? We do not understand what he is speaking about!"

So you also are experiencing sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy from you.

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

I have said these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have affliction, but have courage! I have conquered the world."

And I am no longer in the world, and they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given to me, so that they may be one, just as we are.

And now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world so that they may have my joy completed in themselves.

And for them I sanctify myself, so that they themselves also may be sanctified in the truth.

I in them, and you in me, in order that they may be completed in one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.

So Judas, taking the cohort and officers from the chief priests and from the Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons.

So when he said to them, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.

Jesus replied, "I said to you that I am he! So if you are looking for me, let these men go,"

So Jesus said to Peter, "Put the sword into its sheath! The cup that the Father has given me—shall I not drink it?"

So Simon Peter and another disciple followed Jesus. (Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest.)

But Peter was standing by the door outside. So the other disciple who was known to the high priest went out and spoke to the doorkeeper and brought Peter in.

So the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.

Now Simon Peter was standing there and warming himself. So they said to him, "You are not also one of his disciples, are you?" He denied it and said, "I am not!"

So Peter denied it again, and immediately a rooster crowed.
