So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body and say to the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first."

So they went with the soldiers of the guard and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone.

The guards were shaken and became like dead men because they were so afraid of him.

So they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day.

So the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated.

They were all amazed so that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him."

So the news about him spread quickly throughout all the region around Galilee.

Simon's mother-in-law was lying down, sick with a fever, so they spoke to Jesus at once about her.

So he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. But he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

He replied, "Let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding villages, so that I can preach there too. For that is what I came out here to do."

So he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
