So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that Yahweh spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.

As Yahweh commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel did; and they divided the land.

As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, and to go out and to come in.

and the border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is across from the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river; and the border passed along to the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel;

So [the lot] was for the rest of the sons of Manasseh according to their families: for the sons of Abiezer, and for the sons of Helek, and for the sons of Asriel, and for the sons of Shechem, and for the sons of Hepher, and for the sons of Shemida: these were the male sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph according to their families.

So they made an end of distributing the land for inheritance by the borders thereof; and the sons of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them:

These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the tribes of the sons of Israel, distributed for inheritance by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh, at the door of the tent of meeting. So they made an end of dividing the land.

So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.

for Yahweh has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you sons of Reuben and sons of Gad; you have no portion in Yahweh: so might your sons make our sons cease from fearing Yahweh.

Therefore we said, It shall be, when they so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we shall say, Look at the pattern of the altar of Yahweh, which our fathers made, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.

And it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come on you of which Yahweh your God spoke to you, so will Yahweh bring on you all the evil things, until he destroys you from off this good land which Yahweh your God has given you.

but I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.

So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

So Joshua sent the people away, every man to his inheritance.

And Judah said to Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with you into your lot. So Simeon went with him.

And Adoni-bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered [their food] under my table: as I have done, so God has repaid me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

but the Amorites determined to dwell in mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became subject to slave labor.

And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that despoiled them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

And yet they didn't listen to their judges; for they prostituted after other gods, and bowed themselves down to them: they turned aside quickly out of the way wherein their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of Yahweh; [but] they did not so.
