Only the LORD give you discretion and understanding, and give you charge concerning Yisra'el; that so you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of your own have we given you.

So Shlomo, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Giv`on; for there was the tent of meeting of God, which Moshe the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this your people, that is so great?

So Shlomo came from the high place that was at Giv`on, from before the tent of meeting, to Yerushalayim; and he reigned over Yisra'el.

They brought up and brought out of Mitzrayim a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hitti, and the kings of Aram, did they bring them out by their means.

Shlomo sent to Huram the king of Tzor, saying, As you did deal with David my father, and did send him cedars to build him a house to dwell therein, [even so deal with me].

Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. So Huram made an end of doing the work that he did for king Shlomo in the house of God:

The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day.

so that the Kohanim could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

that they may fear you, to walk in your ways, so long as they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.

If they sin against you (for there is no man who doesn't sin), and you are angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to a land far off or near;

King Shlomo offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

So Shlomo held the feast at that time seven days, and all Yisra'el with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamat to the brook of Mitzrayim.

If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the arbeh to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

This house, which is so high, everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall say, Why has the LORD done thus to this land, and to this house?

He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the Kohanim to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the Kohanim, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

Now all the work of Shlomo was prepared to the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. [So] the house of the LORD was completed.

King Shlomo gave to the queen of Sheva all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which she had brought to the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.

So king Shlomo exceeded all the kings of the eretz in riches and wisdom.
