Having abolished the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; that he might create in himself the two into one new man, [so] making peace;

So then you are no more strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,

But you did not so learn Christ;

But as the church is subject to Christ, so [let] the wives also [be] to their husbands in everything.

Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loves his own wife loves himself:

so that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and void of offense to the day of Christ;

so that my bonds became manifest in Christ throughout the whole praetorian guard, and to all the rest;

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but [that] with all boldness, as always, [so] now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Brothers, be imitators together of me, and observe those that so walk even as you have us for an example.

Therefore, my brothers beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,

forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also [should] you:

so that you became an example to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

For from you has sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so that we don't need to speak anything.

but even as we have been approved of God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who proves our hearts.

even so, being affectionately desirous of you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you became very dear to us.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those also that have fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
