So they turned and departed, and put the sheep and the goods and the cattle in front of them.

And his father-in-law, the damsels father, detained him; and he stayed with him three days; so they did eat and drink and lodged there.

So they sat down and did eat and drink, both of them together; and the damsels father said to his son-in-law, If you wish you may spend the night and it will do you good.

So they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.

So he brought him into his house, and gave fodder to his asses; and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

And the old man, the master of the house, went out to them and said to them, No, my brethren, no, do not be so wicked; seeing that this man has come into my house, do not commit this shameful act.

But the men would not listen to him; so the man took his concubine and brought her outside to them: and they raped her and abused her all the night until the morning; and when dawn began to break, they let her go.

And all who saw it said, There has never been, nor seen, such a deed from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt until this day. So they considered it, and took counsel, and spoke out.

So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, agreeing together as one man.

So Israel set ambushes round about Gibeah.

So the Benjamites saw that they were defeated; and the children of Israel gave ground to the Benjamites, because they trusted in the ambushes that they had set against Gibeah.

So all who fell that day of Benjamin were twenty-five thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valor.

So they commanded the Benjamites, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;

And the Benjamites did so, and they took them wives from all of those who played tambourines, whom they caught; and they returned and went to their inheritance, and rebuilt the towns, and dwelt in them.

So she went forth out of the place where they sojourned, along with her two daughters-in-law, to return and go to the land of Judah.

The LORD grant you favor so that you may find rest in the house of your parents. Then she kissed them: and they lifted up their voices and wept.

Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried; may the LORD do so to me, and more also, if even death can separate me from you.

So they went together until they came to Beth-lehem of Judah. And it came to pass, when they were come to Beth-lehem, the whole city rejoiced over them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, for she was wholeheartedly willing to return with her, and they came from the land of Moab at the beginning of the barley harvest.

So Ruth went to glean ears of wheat after the reapers; and it happened that she came upon a portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimeleck.
