So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for several days.Acts 2:38; 8:16; 1 Corinthians 1:17;">[xr]

When they heard this, they quieted down, and praised God, saying, "So God has given even the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life."Romans 10:12-13;">[xr]

News of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and so they sent Barnabas all the way to Antioch.Acts 9:27;">[xr]

For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. And so a large crowd was brought to the Lord.Acts 5:14;">[xr]

So every one of the disciples decided, as he was able, to send a contribution to the brothers living in Judea.Romans 15:26; 1 Corinthians 16:1; 2 Corinthians 9:1;">[xr]

So Peter was being kept in prison, but earnest prayer to God for him was being offered by the church.

So he went out and began to follow him, not realizing that what was being done by the angel was real; he thought he was seeing a vision.Psalm 126:1; Acts 10:3,17; 11:5;">[xr]

On recognizing Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed that she didn't open the gate but ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate.

They said to her, "You're out of your mind!" But she kept insisting that it was so. Then they said, "It's his angel."Genesis 48:16; Matthew 18:10;">[xr]

Herod searched for him but didn't find him, so he questioned the guards and ordered them to be executed. Then he left Judea, went down to Caesarea, and stayed there for a while.

Now Herod had a violent quarrel with the people of Tyre and Sidon. So they came to him as a group. After they had won over Blastus, who took care of the king's bedroom, they asked for peace because their country depended on the king's country for food.1 Kings 5:9,11; Ezekiel 27:17;">[xr]

For David, after he had served God's purpose in his own generation, diedfell asleep">[fn] and was laid to rest with his ancestors, and so he experienced decay.1 Kings 2:10; Acts 2:29;">[xr]

So be careful that what the prophets said does not happen to you:Isaiah 29:14; Habakkuk 1:5;">[xr]

So they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.Matthew 10:14; Mark 6:11; Luke 9:5; Acts 18:6;">[xr]

Paul and Barnabas had quite a dispute and argument with them. So Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to confer with the apostles and elders about this question.Galatians 2:1;">[xr]

So the apostles and the elders met to consider this statement.

So why do you test God by putting on the disciples' neck a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we could carry?Matthew 23:4; Galatians 5:1;">[xr]

so that the rest of the people may search for the Lord, including all the Gentiles who are called by my name, declares the Lord. He is the one who has been doing these things

So we have unanimously decided to choose men and send them to you with our dear Barnabas and Paul,

So the men were sent on their way and arrived in Antioch. They gathered the congregation together and delivered the letter.
